In other news, the vast majority of computers can not actually run HTML5, of which Steve Jobs is promoting as the replacement for Flash. As cool as seeing Quake being played on a web browser is, that most people will not be able to play because their computer won't run it. On the other hand, Flash can be run on computers nearly 10 years old.
So the complaint is really that Steve Jobs wants you to upgrade, and those that don't really don't matter. He is slowly moving his computer company up the path to more and more rich buyers and therefore losing out on everyone here on the bottom.
